Sustain — Website Terms of Service

Effective date: 22 August 2026 Applies to: the Sustain website at sustaintimer.com — this page and nothing else Contact: [email protected]

Looking for the Android app? The app has its own, separate terms: Sustain app terms of service. Nothing below applies to it.

1. Using the site

The web timer is free, with no account and no sign-in. Use it as much as you like, for study, work or anything else. Don’t try to break it, resell it, or pass it off as your own, and don’t use it to break the law.

2. Recording the timer

People sometimes screen-record Sustain — running it behind a study stream, capturing a session to watch back, sharing a clip. That’s welcome, and this section says plainly what is and isn’t allowed.

You may record Sustain and share the recording freely — on YouTube, on social media, anywhere — for personal, non-commercial use, provided the recording is not monetised and our branding is left intact.

You may not, without our written permission:

The scene, the hourglass, the artwork, the sounds and the timer itself remain ours, and a recording of them is a copy of our work — recording does not transfer any ownership to you. If you’d like to use Sustain commercially, just ask: [email protected]. We’re generally happy to say yes.

3. Your data

Your settings and today’s focus total stay in your own browser and are never uploaded. The site measures page visits with Google Analytics; nothing you type is ever sent. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.

4. Supporting Sustain

The web timer has nothing to buy. If you want to support it you can do so voluntarily through Ko-fi, which handles the payment under its own terms — we never see your card details. A contribution is a gift, not a purchase: it buys no feature, unlocks nothing, and is not refundable by us.

5. No warranty

Sustain is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. It is a focus timer, not a medical device, and it is not advice or treatment for ADHD or any other condition.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site — including missed deadlines, lost work, or a session that did not run as expected. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

7. Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and the effective date above.
